Judo Competition Results at XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023

During this Sunday, the judo competitions were held, where the first medalists of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 were met.

In the men’s 73 kilograms category, the Cuban Magdiel Estrada secured the gold medal, after defeating the representative of the Dominican Republic, Antonio Tornal, in a close confrontation. While, in this same category, the bronze went to the Mexican Gilberto Cardoso, who defeated the Panamanian Ronal González. In addition, Sergio Mattey, from Venezuela, also took the bronze.

Meanwhile, in the 81 kilogram category, Puerto Rican Adrián Gandía won the gold medal, after defeating Jorge Martínez, from Cuba. Medickson del Orbe, from the Dominican Republic, and the Mexican Samuel Ayala won the bronze medal.

As for women’s competitions. In the 63 kilograms, the Mexican Prisca Awiti was left with the gold medal, she defeated the Cuban Maylin del Toro. Katherine Otaño, from the Dominican Republic, and the Colombian Cindy Mera took bronze.
