journalist hit by Marseille ultras in new post-match incidents

While incidents between supporters took place the day before and before the match between Ajaccio and OM this Saturday, for the last day of Ligue 1, a journalist was beaten by Marseille ultras after the match.

The pre-match was tense but other incidents took place after the meeting of the last day of Ligue 1 between Ajaccio and OM this Saturday evening. A hundred Marseille supporters sowed terror in a Total station below the stadium, while some ultra Olympians were no longer under escort. They intimidated some Ajacciens, who took refuge inside the gas station, and especially hit a journalist from France Television after having threatened him because he was filming.

Incidents when the Marseillais arrive at the stadium

After the clashes the day before, new incidents had broken out before kick-off. Several witnesses claim to have heard a dozen young Corsican ultras make racist and intolerable remarks.

Tension rose at the Stade François Coty when the Marseille supporters arrived, under tear gas fire. A group of around thirty Ajaccio supporters approached and the insults began to ring out. Some of them were racist (“Couscoussiers, all undocumented”). Monkey cries were also heard.
