John Textor attracts investors and partners to Eagle Football Holdings as company seeks cash flow.

John Textor has been attracting other investors and potential partners to the Eagle Football Holdings, company that controls Botafogo, RWD Molenbeek, Lyon and a slice of Crystal Palaceinforms the Blog of Rodrigo Mattos, from “UOL Esporte”, this Wednesday.

According to the report, the movement occurs in the midst of the company’s need for cash flow. To acquire Lyon, Textor already had an investment of US$ 75 million (R$ 363 million at the current quotation) from Iconic Sports Acquisition, which has as one of its partners James Dinan, partner of the Milwaukee Bucks, of the NBA.

Dinan joined the Board of Directors of Eagle, and there is the possibility, provided for in a document, that Iconic Sports merge with Eagle Football. The Board also has the participation of executives from Ares Sports Media, which has been active in the operations of clubs such as Atlético de Madrid and Inter Miami.

Also according to the blog, documents show that Textor still owns 75% of the shares of Eagle Football. The businessman has been facing pressure in Europe and, according to the newspaper “L’Équipe”, he would have to get € 60 million (R$ 317 million at current quotation) in Lyon to meet the rules of Financial Fair Play of the French league.
