An interesting list of the classic grade events, the so-called stakes in the United States, shows the Zulian rider Javier José Castellano in the top 5 of that list.
The important list presents Puerto Rican John Velazquez in the first place with 729 selective victories in the circuits of the United States, taking into account that he is one of the active whips.
The latter were with Arabian Lion and National Treasure in the Preakness Stakes.
He is followed by American star Mike Smith with 637 such victories, the last being through the exemplary Taiba in the Malibu Stakes.
And the Zulian Javier José Castellano appears in the third box, with a total of 478 selective and those that are missing, being the last one with the dapple Arcangelo in the Belmont Stakes, proof that he had been elusive to the horse professionals of Venezuela.
Also this year, Castellano managed to win the Kentucky Derby with Mage, teamed with Gustavo Delgado Socorro, a maracucha duo.
The Venezuelan whip has many possibilities to increase this number in the second half, since he has clear possibilities to mount Mage and Arcangelo.
