Does FC Bayern Munich have to fear the departure of ex-Salzburg professional Dayot Upamecano?

According to information from “Sport1”, the 24-year-old Frenchman changed his advisor again within a year and at least caused a stir. In addition, the central defender surprised with the separation from his confidante Raquel Rosa, who also maintained close contact with his family.

The linguistically talented Brazilian remained at Upamecano’s side in the summer of 2022, when he decided to exchange Volker Struth’s well-known German player consultant agency Sports360 for Gordon Stipic’s Unique Sports Group.

Switch to Dembele agent

Now the defender Moussa Sissoko joined, as previously reported by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. However, Rosa, who initially acted as an interpreter and then as a consultant, is no longer on board.

With Sissoko there is now an agent for Upamecano’s interests, who already represents his French buddies Randal Kolo Muani (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Ousmane Dembele (FC Barcelona).

As “Sport1” further reports, there should be no thought of leaving behind the exchange of consultants. Upamecano is not currently looking for a change. In the future, however, the former star player for the Salzburg “bulls” would find a commitment in the English Premier League tempting.

In the summer of 2024, a transfer to the island would be possible, it is said. According to “Sport1”, ex-adviser Stipic and his English business partner Will Salthouse received an order from Rosa several months ago to explore the English market for the defender.

Sissoko, in turn, has good contacts with Paris Saint-Germain and, according to the German medium, is considered an “uncomfortable lobbyist”. Upamecano could therefore develop into a hot transfer stock in the coming year at the latest.

Coming and going in Bavaria’s defensive

The French international made 49 compulsory appearances for Bayern last season. Upamecano often seemed prone to errors. In view of the likely departure of Lucas Hernandez, the reigning German champions will probably put a stop to a change of another defensive man this year. Upamecano is still contractually bound to Munich until 2026.
