Hell just missed the podium at the downhill start

World champion Valentina Höll finished fourth in the Downhill World Cup opener for mountain bikers on Saturday in Lenzerheide. The Salzburg native finished the race in 3:09.27 minutes, 1.756 seconds behind fastest Rachel Atherton.

The British six-time world champion and World Cup winner made a successful comeback after a long break from injury and subsequent childbirth.

In the men’s competition, Höll’s compatriot Andreas Kolb was only 30th (2:56.337), victory went to the British Robert Jordan Williams (2:39.222). The next World Cup will take place in Leogang in a week.
