World champion Valentina Höll finished fourth in the Downhill World Cup opener for mountain bikers on Saturday in Lenzerheide. The Salzburg native finished the race in 3:09.27 minutes, 1.756 seconds behind fastest Rachel Atherton.
The British six-time world champion and World Cup winner made a successful comeback after a long break from injury and subsequent childbirth.
In the men’s competition, Höll’s compatriot Andreas Kolb was only 30th (2:56.337), victory went to the British Robert Jordan Williams (2:39.222). The next World Cup will take place in Leogang in a week.
