Heavy Rain Forces Suspension of Baseball Games at Central American and Caribbean Games

This Monday the heavy rains left the baseball competitive date corresponding to the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 without results, since the only confrontation that could start, Cuba vs. Venezuela, had to be stopped and finally suspended after an inning and a half, at a time when our national team had a lead of 2 runs to zero.

The other suspensions corresponded to duels Puerto Rico against the Dominican Republic, Mexico against Curacao and Nicaragua against El Salvador.

Today Cuba has to face Puerto Rico at 18:30 (Italian time) but the weather forecasts continue to be very unfavourable, so much so that the organizers have announced that if the matches corresponding to this baseball event, then the four places in competing for the Pan American Games of Santiago 2023 would be delivered according to the order by country in the world ranking.

If so, then the first passport would be held by Mexico (#3 in the ranking), the second by Venezuela (#6), the third would be assigned to Cuba (#7) and the fourth would correspond to the Dominican Republic ( No. 10).
