His team finished the regular season 14th, clearly missing the playoffs. However, Ramírez stayed in Braunschweig – because his wife was expecting their second child, a daughter, these days. She was now born healthy.
He used the days off to go on a trip on a Harley Davidson Road King: “I met the manager of the branch at an event. And tells him that I love motorcycles. So he offered me to come to him and choose a bike.”

Ramírez: “I really enjoyed the trip. But at the same time I’m a bit wistful. Because I used to own a Harley myself. I had to sell them. Because I was a coach in Hungary and she was in the garage in Barcelona and got dirty.
Motorcycling was practically in his cradle. Ramírez says: “My uncle gave me my first motorcycle when I was three or four years old. It wasn’t a battery thing, it was really gas. My parents were anything but happy about it…”
He took driving lessons on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where Formula 1 races are also held. Later also rode a speed bike.
Today he says: “It’s not about driving fast for me. I just enjoy the feeling of sitting on a motorcycle.”

The boyfriend? Aleix Espargaró (33), rider in MotoGP. He has one win in 224 starts. His brother Pol (31) even won the world title in 2013.
