Hamburg Stealers Dominate Cologne Cardinals in Double Victory

Hamburg wins twice

The Hamburg Stealers clearly beat the Cologne Cardinals on their own court with 11:0. The game ended early after seven innings as part of the 10-run rule. The Hanseatic League had already won the first meeting on Saturday at Ballpark Langenhorst by a narrow margin of 6:5.

The hosts scored twice in the first inning. Theodore Fuller Beaudet was successful with an RBI double, among other things. A mistake by Cologne first baseman Samuel Grorsch, just an inning later, allowed Kevin Van Meensel to grab the third run for the Stealers. A 4-run rally, again just one run later, brought the final decision in favor of the Stealers.

This is mainly because Hamburg’s Japanese on the throwing hill, Yasutomo Kubo, convinced with a strong performance. In seven innings, Kubo only allowed the Cardinals five hits and two walks. The guests didn’t want to succeed in anything countable. The Yapaner secured his tenth win this season.
