The construction work for the surf wave in Hallbergmoos is progressing. The surf park in the Munich Airport Business Park is growing on the Lilienthalstrasse site. According to Surftown GmbH, they are on schedule. This means that the system should be ready in autumn, the official inauguration is planned for spring 2024, as a longer test phase is necessary. Not only professionals can then pursue their sport there, but also beginners and families. In addition to the wave generator, work is already being done on the surfing pool, said Mayor Josef Niedermair recently at the town hall meeting.
He expects added value for the business park. Next to the surf park, the “Hybrid One” will be an office building with restaurants, a pharmacy and a hairdresser, with a “Boulevard” in between. More life will come in, he said recently at the town hall meeting, visitors, but employees can watch the surfers and eat there.
