Gladbach: New coach! Who should replace Farke at Borussia?

Everything at the beginning – but with which coach?

Borussia Mönchengladbach is about to start again! For the third time in a row, Gladbach will present a new head coach at the start of the season.

Gladbach survey: who should be the new Borussia coach?

Two years ago, Gladbach had to react to the departure of Marco Rose (46), who moved to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021. Adi Hütter (53) was presented as Rose’s successor, who in turn had to resign after one season.

After those responsible for Borussia separated from Hütter, Daniel Farke was hired. Now the coaching chair on the Lower Rhine is vacant again – on Friday (June 2, 2023) Farke’s farewell was made official.

In recent weeks, a number of coaches have been linked to the now vacant post at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Among other things, the names of Oliver Glasner (48) and Gerardo Seoane (44) were mentioned. Glasner played his last competitive game as Eintracht Frankfurt coach on Saturday (June 3).

The 2022 Europa League winner and Glasner are ending their collaboration at the end of the season after two seasons. The Swiss Seoane has been without a job since his dismissal at Bayer Leverkusen in October 2022.

In addition, there were reports that an internal solution was also discussed with U23 coach Eugen Polanski (37). Polanski switched to Borussia as a youth player in 1994 and is considered the most promising coaching talent in the foal stable.
