AA Gent ended the 2022-2023 season with a good feeling after the excellent playoffs and the smooth victory against Standard yesterday. The team of Hein Vanhaezebrouck had to swallow a bitter pill a few weeks ago, but thanks to a few goldcrests, the Ghent public completely embraced his team again.
Hugo Cuypers was the celebrated man at the Buffalos yesterday with a hat trick and especially the top scorer title. But of course Gift Orban was the sensation of the return round. The attacker of AA Gent scored twenty goals (five European) and two assists, a phenomenal number for the Nigerian.
