Genoa Prepares to Host The Ocean Race Finale: Excitement Builds as City Welcomes Visitors

Official opening on Saturday at 10am with the ribbon cutting, accompanied by the notes of the Marching Band. The public will immediately be able to try out the numerous activities. Sailing enthusiasts will find at the Jean Nouvel Pavilion the Fiv Experience Village which for the first time in Italy will propose the Next Generation Foil Academy powered by Luna Rossaexcellence in flying sail which will be an important presence at the next Paris 2024 Olympics. The space dedicated to the Para Sailing Academy, a model of inclusiveness that allows everyone to approach the world of sailing. There will also be theAcademy Mini 6.50 for those who want to experience the thrill of sailing on a Mini 6.50, considered the first step towards ocean sailing. Visitors will have the opportunity to try sailing thanks to the precious help of FIV instructors, both on simulators and at sea. To inaugurate the Fiv space (3 pm) will be Silvia Salisdeputy vice president of Coni, alongside the president of Fiv Francesco Ettorre and Primazona Maurizio Buscemi.

They will compete in the “Legends Regatta” on June 27 and in the “Legends Coastal Race Genova-Portofino-Santa Margherita Ligure” on June 30 with celebrations at Villa Durazzo in Santa Margherita Ligure. Entertainment, music, DJ sets, theatrical performances, show cooking every day will involve the public in the village. At the stand Liguria WOW all the excellences of our region will find space.

Industry, research, innovation, but also food and wine, local products, artisans, historic shops and consortia will present themselves to the public in an innovative exhibition that satisfies the eyes, heart, smell and sight. From morning to evening, at the stand, it will also be possible to get to know the protagonists of the various sectors with meetings, workshops and speeches.
