FSV Zwickau: Decision made about coach Ronny Thielemann Sports

Coach decision at FSV Zwickau! The third division relegated and Ronny Thielemann (49) go their separate ways.

After BILD first reported on the separation, the official confirmation followed on Friday evening. “In open and honest discussions, both parties agreed that this solution is best for everyone involved,” the FSV statement said.

The decision comes as no surprise. Already at the beginning of the week it leaked out that one separation is in the air. Thielmann had said in BILD: “We need a sporting perspective, but the situation at FSV Zwickau is currently extremely difficult. Three weeks ago, before the game in Oldenburg, I pointed out that we had to move forward with squad planning. Unfortunately, not much has happened on this matter since then.”

FSV Zwickau is looking for a Thielemann successor

FSV managing director Marvin Klotzkowsky had expressed understanding for Thielemann’s dissatisfaction: “I can absolutely understand Ronny Thielemann’s displeasure. He came here under different basic conditions. The Board of Management and the Supervisory Board called out things to him that did not come true. That’s why we have to find a sensible solution now.”

The solution is now separation. Thielemann only took over the team from Joe Enochs (51/now coach in Regensburg) in February. The former Bundesliga professional was unable to prevent FSV from being relegated to the Regionalliga Nordost. Who will take over the coaching job in Zwickau is completely open. On the player side, only Davy Frick (33) and homegrown Yannick Linnemann (18) have a contract for the regional league.

The FSV is also struggling with major economic difficulties. One must be available by mid-July Financial gap of 1 million euros to be closed.
