Football: AS Cannes will be bought by the American owner of AS Rome

Chaired for four years by Anny Courtade, the Riviera club AS Cannes, promoted to National 2 at the end of a perfect season, will be bought by the American film producer Dan Friedkin.

The latter notably produced the film by Swedish director Ruben Östlund The Square, Palme d’Or in 2017.

He is already the owner of Italian club AS Roma.

Advanced discussions between Friedkin and the ASC had already taken place last summer, without success.

The formalization of the takeover could take place this Monday, June 26, a conference being organized at 3 p.m. in the town hall of Cannes.
