Fluminense to Face Red Bull Bragantino in Brazilian Women’s A2 Final

Classified for the final of the Brazilian Women’s A2 by beating Botafogo in the second game of the semifinal, on Saturday (24/06), Fluminense waited until the afternoon of this Monday (26/06) to meet its opponent in the dispute for the title. Red Bull Bragantino defeated América-MG by 5-0 on aggregate and guaranteed its place in the final.

As provided for in the regulation, the field command of the return game will be the team with the best campaign. Thus, the first leg will take place this weekend in Rio de Janeiro, while the final 90 minutes will be played in São Paulo, the following week. Dates, times and locations are yet to be determined.

Flu arrives at the final as the only undefeated team. In the first phase, it was in third place in Group A and qualified for the quarterfinals against JC-AM. With two 0-0 draws, they defeated the Amazonians on penalties by 4-2. In the semi, they beat Botafogo by 2-1 on aggregate.

Bragantino, on the other hand, came second in the same group and eliminated UDA-AL in the quarterfinals, winning by 7 to 1 and 5 to 2. In the semifinal, they faced América-MG, winning the first game by 2 to 0 and the second by 3.
