In another round of classics, Fluminense was crowned champion of the U-15 Rio Cup. The title, celebrated last Sunday (25/06) at Estádio Vale das Laranjeiras, came with the aggregate score of 2 to 1 for Tricolor. The conquest crowned the weekend of great victories for Moleques de Xerém.

If among the older players the highlight was the 1-0 victory over Flamengo, in Xerém, for the first leg of the Carioca Sub-20 Championship semifinal, the sensation among the younger ones was the U-9 team. The kids qualified for the final of the Edilson Silva Cup by thrashing Vasco, at home, by 4-0. The overall result of the match ended in 8-1 for Flu.

The Sub-11 also passed with a rout. Playing in Laranjeiras, the team defeated Portuguesa by 10-0 to guarantee a spot in the Metropolitano’s final. The Under-10 and Under-13 teams became finalists in their respective competitions by eliminating Cruz-Maltino himself.
