Until a few days ago there was no talk of anything else in River other than the possible sale of Nicolás De la Cruz to Flamengo from Brazil. Although from Nuñez they always denied it, in the neighboring country they marked that Fla had come to raise a formal offer to buy the Uruguayan and that they had even already agreed on their contract, they only needed to agree on the amounts of the transfer with the Millionaire.

The days passed and the negotiations cooled down, given that River, despite having a promise of sale with De la Cruz, had no intention of selling it to a direct competitor of the Copa Libertadores. The transfer was stagnant and now it has fallen: with the Millionaire’s classification to the round of 16, The chance of selling the attacking midfielder to Flamengo was practically ruled out.

The leadership requests $10 million net to get rid of the Uruguayan, of whom they share the pass in equal parts with Liverpool of Uruguay. At the end of last year he renewed his contract until December 2025 and now there is not so much rush to listen to offers, although there is a commitment made with the footballer that there will be no obstacles to an exit.

In case of a sale, the Millionaire already has some names in the folder, two from local soccer and some from abroad, although they have not yet been publicly disclosed. Joaquin Pereyra, from Atlético Tucumán, is another of the players that the Technical Secretariat is closely following. For now it won’t be more than that since De la Cruz will continue at the club.
