Yesterday in Catanzaro and this morning in Lamezia Terme, the respective Fiamme Oro youth sections had the very welcome pleasure of receiving a visit from the multiple fencing champion Valentina Vezzali, as national manager of the Fiamme Oro Youth Sections, sports group of the State Police.
The multi-medal athlete of the Fiamme Oro together with officials and technicians of the Fiamme Oro of the national centre, as well as congratulating the Quaestor of Catanzaro and the technical staff for the valuable activities and the excellent results of the two youth sections present in the province – Judo in Catanzaro and Olympic Weightlifting in Lamezia Terme -, carried out inspections in the sports facilities in order to evaluate and accept the proposal of the Quaestor to expand the sports offer of the sections, in terms of additional disciplines.
For Catanzaro, the possibility of establishing two new youth sections will be evaluated, one for Olympic weightlifting and one for wrestling, while for Lamezia Terme, a fencing section in consideration of the important local tradition for this sporting discipline.
Valentina VezzalI gave his willingness to return to Catanzaro and Lamezia Terme to sponsor enrollments in the Fiamme Oro youth sections, to share his sporting experience, as part of the promotional activities in schools planned for the month of next September, with the aim of spreading the culture of sport and legality among children and teenagers.
