European Games in Poland: Badminton Delegation Announced for the Races

The start of the races for the badminton within the European Games that are taking place these days in Poland. In the town of Tarnow the blue badminton delegation will be composed of seven athletes: Gianmarco Bailetti, Martina Corsini, Giovanni Greco, Yasmine Hamza, Judith Mair, David Salutt and Giovanni Toti. The event will see 8 groupings in singles and 4 in doubles and for the first time the Azzurri will be present in all disciplines.

In the men’s singles Giovanni Toti he is placed in group A together with the Danish Viktor Axelsen, the Polish Dominik Kwinta and the Romanian Teodor Ioan Cioroboiu. In the women’s singles, however, for Yasmine Hamza there is Group F: the recent gold medalist in Chile will find in its group the Belgian Lianne Tan, the Finnish Nella Nyqvist and the Hungarian Vivien Sandorhazi. Moving on to doubles, Group B for both pairs of men’s doubles and women’s doubles. Giovanni Greco and David Salutt will meet the British Ben Lane and Sean Vendy, the Irish Joshua Magee and Paul Reynolds and the Azeris Ade Resky Dwicahyo and Azmy Qowimurmadhoni while Martina Corsini and Judith Mair they will be called upon to challenge the Danish Maiken Freurgaard and Sara Thygesen, the Ukrainians Mariia Stoliarenko and Yelyzaveta Zharka and the athletes from the United Kingdom Julie Macpherson and Clara Torrance. In the mixed Gianmarco Bailetti and Martina Corsini are placed in Group A and will face the French Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue, with the Irish Joshua Magee and Moya Ryan and the Slovakians Milan Dratva and Katarina Vargova.
