Eintracht Frankfurt has officially announced the departure of central defender Evan Ndicka after five years. The 23-year-old Frenchman’s contract, which expires at the end of the season, will not be extended, as the Hessians announced on Wednesday. “We would have liked to have seen Evan at Eintracht Frankfurt in the future, so it’s a shame that he’s leaving us,” said sporting director Markus Krösche. The SGE had hoped to the last to be able to extend it with Ndicka.

The French defensive man is now probably drawn to the traditional Italian club and defeated Europa League finalists AS Roma. The coach question in Frankfurt is also still open. Dino Toppmöller is the favorite to succeed Oliver Glasner, and completion is expected shortly.
