The head of the federal Executive added that this Pemex refinery, located in Paraíso, Tabasco, will start operating tomorrow, Saturday, and specified that in a first stage it will produce about 80,000 barrels and next year it will produce 300,000 barrels of fuel.

The president added that the 100 percent operation of the refinery is “a process”, but reiterated that it has already begun.

“It is a unique work in the world because it was done in record time: four and a half years, a refinery to process 340,000 barrels,” he said.

He also commented that the country had not built a refinery in the post for 42 years, which he maintained coincided with the neoliberal period, “40, because the last one built was Salina Cruz with López Portillo,” he reproached.
