2′ of reading 27/06/2023 – Grand finale for Cus Camerino and its standard-bearers at the recent Cnu 2023 played at home and finished last weekend.
The last laurels both came from athletics, in order with Angelica Ghergo’s bronze in the 400m on the Fabriano municipal track, where athletics played all its disciplines officially closing the event, then in the “Corsa in the mountains” (Running), a discipline included as an optional sport with Marco Cruciani. This brings the number of medals won by Cus Camerino to 12, divided as follows: 2 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze.
In detail, the athletes who brought the laurels to Al in their respective specialties are: Gold (2) with Elena Tangherlini (Fencing – foil) and Marco Cruciani (Athletics – mountain running); Silver (3) with Bitri Klajdi (judo 66 kg); Ciano Raffaella Leli (judo 70 kg); Comparelli Marzia, Romagnoli Michele (table tennis, mixed doubles); Bronze (7) with Futsal Men (team composed by Bacchiocchi Alessandro, Campanelli Marco, Campo Alessandro, Carducci Diego, Ciavattini Filippo, Fabretti Mattia, Fanelli Giuseppe, Gabbanelli Marco, Iervolino Michele, Liistro Urjel, Martin Enzo Daniel, Mobili Matteo, Pucci Matteo, Ricci Alex, Tetteh Amankwah Michael – Renzoni Elia coach); Men’s team judo (with Bitri Klajdi, Gasparrini Luca, Fava Tommaso, Tartaglini Riccardo, Perna Kevin – coach Fama’ Giulio) Individual judo men Perna Kevin 100 kg; Taekwondo with Fiordelmondo Serena 67 kg; Athletics with Angelica Ghergo 400 Hs; Women’s single table tennis with Comparelli Marzia and men’s double table tennis with Solonirina Louido Nathaniel, Romagnoli Michele.
However, a considerable result and a haul of laurels that could have been greater and more prestigious, if other athletes of a certain level such as tennis player Elisabetta Cocciaretto (currently No. 1 in Italy and 41st in the WTA ranking) could have participated, but for different reasons and concomitant commitments did not allow him to. Cus Camerino who at the Cnu2023 fielded a selection of 109 athletes, for 16 disciplines, of which 26 women and 83 men.
Confirmations for the yellow and black university colors have come from Judo, table tennis, Fencing and Futsal which are the sports that have always given great satisfaction. Updated to date, the Cus Camerino medal table in the history of the National University Championships reads this overall balance of 341 medals divided as follows: 150 gold; 97 silvers and 94 bronzes.
