Cordell Tinch panics times over 110m hurdles in Fayetteville

Cordell Tinch created a sensation by achieving an unexpected time of 12.96 (+1.3 m/s) over 110 m hurdles on Friday in Fayetteville, Arkansas (USA). The American arrived in Fayetteville with a personal best of 13”21 over the distance, but he was credited with a windy 12”87 (+6 m/s) last May.

19th all-time performance

Tinch first lowered his time to 13”09 (+0.2 m/s) in series before breaking the 13” barrier for the first time in his existence. His time is the best performance in the world at the start of the year and makes him the nineteenth performer of all time. The 22-year-old Tinch is also a high (2.21m) and long (8.16m altitude) jumper.

In the same competition, the American Tara Davis-Woodhall won the long jump with a jump of 6.99 m (+1.7 m/s).
