Carlos Alcaraz regains his throne in the ATP rankings

The battle for world number one between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz continues. Crowned at Queen’s, the Spaniard regains his place at the top of the hierarchy, a place he had lost at the end of Roland-Garros, where the Serb had won. The record holder for the number of Grand Slam victories did not play this week, and could already regain the lead in the standings at the Wimbledon tournament, which begins in a week.

Only one other change is to be noted in the top 10. The American Taylor Fritz, beaten by Adrian Mannarino in the second round of the Queen’s, slips to 9th place, to the delight of the Italian Jannik Sinner, who nevertheless abandoned against Alexander Bublik in Halle.

Unhappy finalist in London against Carlos Alcaraz, Alex De Minaur made good progress and is now in 16th place. Tommy Paul and Hubert Hurkacz suffer the consequences and are 17th and 18th.

On the French side, Ugo Humbert is still the first in the ATP ranking (39th). Messin is now closely followed by Adrian Mannarino, who is riding on his excellent results on grass and is in 43rd place. Alexandre Müller, winner of the Montechiarugolo Challenger, has moved up 21 places and is now 82nd in the world. On the other hand, Benjamin Bonzi continues to fall and is only 93rd.
