252 Bundesliga professionals took part in kicker’s traditional player survey this summer. And for just over a quarter of them, Julian Nagelsmann was the losing coach in the 2022/23 season. 26.2 percent of the votes went to the 35-year-old, who had to leave FC Bayern in March. In the summer of 2022, Adi Hütter was still the biggest loser among coaches with 23.4 percent.
Bruno Labbadia (14.3 percent) follows Nagelsmann at a clear distance, who had meanwhile returned to the coaching bench at VfB Stuttgart with limited success before the Swabians managed to stay up in the league under Sebastian Hoeneß via relegation.
Tuchel receives the third most votes
Quite curious: Nagelsmann’s successor Thomas Tuchel is already third with 13.1 percent. Only through Borussia Dortmund’s blunder on the 34th matchday and their own late win at 1.
