Bundesliga Clubs Eyeing Paul Onuachu as Potential Goalscorer

The search for a new goalscorer has apparently led several Bundesliga clubs to Paul Onuachu from Southampton FC. While VfB Stuttgart, Union Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt have been following the Nigerian for some time, Gladbach is now probably involved.

The “Bild” reports on this with reference to media reports from France. According to the Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Borussia from Mönchengladbach even took pole position in the struggle for the goal-getter.

The foals have therefore already contacted the center forward and signaled interest.

Even before Gladbach, VfB Stuttgart and Union Berlin had targeted the two-meter man at the beginning of June. Tavolieri reported back then as well. There was talk of a loose request from the Swabians to Southampton.

Now, however, it is said that VfB is out of the question as a new club for the 19-time national player. Onuachu has no intention of playing against relegation again next season.

Does Eintracht Frankfurt need a successor for Kolo Muani?

Only in winter did the right-footer switch from top Belgian team KRC Genk to FC Southampton for the hefty transfer fee of 18 million euros. With the Saints, however, he was relegated from the Premier League as a distant bottom of the table after just one half series.

Due to the crash in the Championship, a quick farewell may now be imminent. Word is Southampton are looking to cash in on the striker. How high the transfer fee could be is still unclear.

Before his move to Southampton, Onuachu was already linked with Eintracht Frankfurt. It is now speculated that he could become a topic again as the successor to Randal Kolo Muani.

The Frenchman is considered a change candidate after his fantastic season. FC Bayern is also busy with the vice world champion.
