At 19, Steve Mboumoua became the first Quebec player to receive an offer to play at the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide.

While all of these offers can be dizzying, Steve takes it one day at a time, one priority at a time. However, he is sure that when the time is right, he will be able to make the right choice with the help of his coaches and his adviser, the head coach of the Béliers de la Polyvalente Montignac, Yannick Thibault. Besides, the latter says that the footballer will have to choose the university where he will feel good, happy and able to flourish.

“I’m sure he’s going to make the right decision and no matter where he goes, we’re going to be there to cheer him on. »

NFL in sight?

Even if for the Quebec footballer, the NFL is a goal to reach, for him, it is important to take advantage of the present time. For now, the priority is to stay focused on what’s most important: his football season and his studies.

In addition to the offer from the Crimson Tide of Alabama, Mboumoua also has offers from nine other universities, namely Mississippi State, Minnesota, East Carolina, Arizona State, Penn State, South Florida, Memphis, Liberty, Boston College.

Steve Mboumoua will be eligible for his scholarships in 2025, but he could be as early as 2024 as well.
