Belgrano de Córoba beat Banfield 3-1 at home this Monday in the match that closed the 21st date of the Professional Soccer League (LPF) and that left Pirata with 34 points in seventh place in the table and in the classification zone for the Copa Sudamericana and the Drill in the relegation positions along with Velez.

The Cordoba team’s goalscorer, Pablo Vegetti, scored at 24 and 27 minutes for El Pirata, who after Banfield’s partial draw by a goal against of the defender Celeste Alejandro Rébola at 14 of the complement increased the count at 27 and at 30 through Vegetti and Franco Jara.

the match is played in the Julio César Villagra stadium, in the Alberdi neighborhood, in Córdoba, with arbitration by Dario Herrera.

The game was balanced in the opening minutes at night in the Alberdi neighborhood, because the ‘Drill’ raised a game of equals, and even handled the ball in the rival field, although without generating danger for Nahuel Losada’s goal.

However, the ‘B’ did not allow himself to be subdued and against warned: First, Ulises Sánchez lost it with a long-distance shot that hit Facundo Cambeses’ left post, and then Vegetti lost it with a header from the same post.

Until the entire profession of the Belgrano scorer appeared and of the tournament, in this case it was Sánchez who got rid of a man on the right and placed a clear cross at the head of Vegetti, who got rid of Mateo Pérez and scored 1-0.

Julio Falcioni’s set I was betting on the management of Brahian Aleman, although the 10 was not fine for the final touch when trying to find Milton Giménez, with little company in attack.

Although Banfield went and had his chance at 43 minutes when Pedro Souto tested with a powerful left foot that Losada contained in a good way.

The visitor came out better off the complement, and taking advantage of Belgrano’s stay, he achieved equality in a play in which after a couple of rebounds in the area the defender Alejandro Rébola scored against his own goal.

After the equality, the team from the south of Greater Buenos Aires continued to be more solid, and Belgrano looked disoriented, although in a burst came the second from Vegetti, again with a header and after a cross from Fabián Bordagaray, and the remaining goal with a great definition from Jara whose celebration ended up leaving him out of the game due to a double yellow card.

with that second goal Vegetti was the only scorer of the tournament, with 13 conquests.

That 3-1 was lethal for the visit, which although they looked for it and had one more man (Jara was sent off in the celebration of his goal), he did not find the ways to enter a defense that adjusted his mark and passed the end without surprises to cling to a very important victory in the fight to enter international cups.

In Banfield, after nine months the central marker Dylan Gissi returned to the substitute bench, recovered from a torn cruciate ligament in his right knee in September 2022.
