“Now is the moment for me to take the next step in my career”: national basketball player David Krämer is leaving his home country and moving from Löwen Braunschweig to Spain.

National basketball player David Krämer leaves the BBL and changes from the Löwen Braunschweig to the Spanish elite class ACB.

The Lower Saxony announced this on Thursday. The new employer of the 26-year-old, who is in the provisional German World Cup squad, is to be Coviran Granada, who came 16th out of 18 ACB teams last season.

“The moment has now come for me to take the next step in my career, which is why I decided to make a change,” said Krämer, the best German scorer in the 2022/23 BBL season with 17.6 points per game.

For Kraemer, who was born in Slovakia, this is the third engagement abroad. After his first professional steps in Austria, he was under contract with the Phoenix Suns from 2019, but did not make it onto the NBA team.
