Barça: Xavi descends Mourinho

Angry after the Europa League final against Sevilla (1-1, 1-4 tab), Wednesday (see Thursday 1/06 brief), José Mourinho seriously tarnished his image by attacking in an inappropriate way against referee Anthony Taylor, who was seriously pushed around by AS Roma supporters at Budapest airport (see Thursday 1/06). Behavior deemed unacceptable by FC Barcelona coach Xavi, who turned on his Portuguese counterpart.

“Everyone behaves as they please. You can feel aggrieved in a final. But we, players and coaches, must lead by example. As we ask not to be insulted, we must be the first to lead by example Behavior is very important, I hope I will never offer such an image,” the Catalan manager told reporters.
