During the semi-finals of the Singapore Open, the Dane Antonsen faced the Japanese Naraoka and the Thai Vitidsarn faced the Indonesian Ginting.
In the first match, the Dane won against the Japanese and world number 4 Naraoka to everyone’s surprise. Indeed, the Dane was not the favorite of the match and also lost the first set of the match. He then completely reversed the match to finally win 19/21, 21/16, 21/17. The Dane therefore qualifies for the final at the Singapore Open and may be able to conclude a magnificent course!
In the second match, the number 2 faced the number 3 BWF but the match unfortunately ended in a victory for Ginting by abandonment. Indeed, Vitidsarn suffered from an injury and preferred to withdraw at 21/19, 11/21, 1/6 rather than continuing to play. Ginting therefore qualifies for the final of the tournament where he will face the Dane Antonsen.
