América de Cali confirmed this Thursday the departure of Alexandre Guimaraes from the team. In a statement published through social networks, the scarlet team thanked the 60-year-old strategist for his time at the club. In the same way, he informed that in the next few days he will announce the new coaching staff and the reinforcements that will arrive for the next semester.

América de Cali informs its fans, the media and the general public that Alexandre Guimarães will not continue as Technical Director of our professional team,” América de Cali said in its statement.

“We thank Professor Guimarães and his technical staff for their passion, willingness, and dedication in this second cycle with our institution,” he added.

“In the next few days we will announce the names that will make up the new coaching staff and the reinforcements to face our sporting challenges in the second half of the year” concluded the scarlet team.

Thus comes the end of Alexandre Guimaraes’ story with América de Cali, a team he joined at the beginning of 2022 and with which he achieved a total of 21 wins, 19 draws and 20 losses.
