Bertholdt and Simon move to Alba Berlin
The basketball players from Alba Berlin announce the first newcomers for the coming season. In Marie Bertholdt and Theresa Simon, two players with national team experience are moving from Bundesliga competitor BC Pharmaserv Marburg to the capital, as Alba announced on Thursday. Inside player Bertholdt (28) played 16 times for Germany until 2021. Defender Simon (24) has played eight internationals so far, but she had to pull out of the current European Championship due to an ankle injury. “We want to take both players to the next level. They’re coming into a solid team and will raise our level again,” said Alba’s sporting director Himar Ojeda.
