A woman wins a legendary race in England while unconscious

Every year in England there is a special and at the same time very unusual race. Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling is held annually in the village of Brockworth, Cooper’s Hill.

In one of the stages of the competition, 19-year-old Delaney Irving, who came to the interesting event from Canada, won the laurels, “UPI” reports.

The joy of victory was overshadowed by the fact that Delaney only learned of her success while in the first aid tent.

As it turns out, the woman tripped and fell while running down the hill. Thanks to the fall, she not only won first place because she fell over the finish line, but also lost consciousness.

The young woman was immediately taken to the hands of medics. When she regained consciousness in the first aid tent, she found out that she was the winner of the competition stage and won a giant cheese roll as a prize.

Cheese rolling competitions have been going on in the UK for a very long time. It is believed that the origins of this competition can be traced back to the middle of the 17th century.
