2nd in Leogang, Loïc Bruni leader of the Downhill MTB World Cup

Two stages and two consecutive podiums for the six-time tricolor world champion. After his third place in Lenzerheide for the opening of the World Cup, Loïc Bruni offered himself second place on the Austrian track in Leogang on Saturday, less than a second (+0”68) behind the Austrian Andreas Kolb (2’59”). Thibaut Daprela is sixth, just ahead of Loris Vergier, provisional 3rd overall after his podium in Switzerland. Bruni pocketed the overall leader’s jersey before the third stage in Val di Sole (Italy), from June 29 to July 2.

The Austrian clan signed a double at home with the victory of Vali Höll in the women’s category, while the French Marine Cabirou signed a sixth place. Myriam Nicole is forfeited for the first three rounds of the season.
