Host Argentina suffered a sad fate after being defeated by Nigeria with a score of 0-2 in the quarter-finals which was held, on Thursday (1/6/2023). Nigeria silenced the host through goals by Ibrahim Muhammad and Rilwanu Sarki.
This defeat forced the country that replaced Indonesia to host the 2023 U-20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, South Korea made sure to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2023 U-20 World Cup after a narrow win over Ecuador with a score of 3-2.
In the match that was held at the Unico Madre de Ciudades Stadium, Friday (2/6/2023), South Korea defeated Ecuador through goals from Lee Young-jun (11′), Bae Joon-ho (19′), and Choi Seok-hyeon ( 48′).
South Korea is the only Asian envoy who still survives at the 2023 U-20 World Cup which will be held in Argentina.
