With a career full of successes and experiences in the world of volleyball, Bertini will put his skills and passion at the disposal of Omag-MT, guiding the team towards new goals.

Coach Bertini’s curriculum is full of prestigious experiences. He took his first steps in high-level volleyball as assistant coach in Volley Santeramo in A1 in the 2006/2007 season. Subsequently, he was called to Bergamo by Foppapedretti as assistant coach together with Davide Mazzanti in the period 2007-2010, being part of the staff led by Lorenzo Micelli.

In the 2010/2011 season, he embarked on an international experience as an assistant coach at Eczacibasi Istanbul in Turkey. In 2011/2012, he received his first call as head coach with Azzurra Volley San Casciano, (later to be Il Bisonte Firenze) with which he won the Serie B1 Championship.

In the following seasons, Bertini coached Volley Pesaro, leading them to promotion to A2 in 2015. In just two years, with the MyCicero Pesaro team, he conquered Serie A1. In the 2017/2018 season, he finished his experience with the Marche team.

The following year, in 2018/2019, he took over the leadership of Zanetti Bergamo. In the 2019/2020 championship he took the reins of Delta Informatica Trentino in A2. With this formation he won the Italian Cup in the final in Busto against Omag, bringing Trento to the top of the standings, obtaining the repechage in Serie A1 in the 2020-21 season. The rest is recent history, a further year in Trento in A1 and last season with Bartoccini Perugia always in the top flight.

His commitment and dedication are not limited only to clubs but also extend to the Italian national team. Two years ago, as a member of coach Mazzanti’s staff, he contributed to the conquest of the title of European Champion and last year the gold in VNL. Also this year he will cover the role of Mazzanti’s deputy at the helm of the national team, participating in the VNL, the European championships and the qualifiers for the next Olympics in Paris.

The choice of Bertini as the new coach of Omag-Mt represents an opportunity for the team to grow and progress. We are thrilled to welcome him into our family and can’t wait to start this new adventure together.
