White team conquers internal basketball tournament club San Vicente U14

The Blanco quintet won the internal basketball tournament of the San Vicente club, U14 category, successfully held on the Pedro Emilio Reyes court in the Pueblo Nuevo sector.

The White quintet tightly defeated the blue team 56-51 in a well-closed match from the beginning to the end.

The first half was dominated 29-27 by the blue team with a combined effort by Yandery Reyes and Johan Rojas and good ball handling by Osvaldo Brito.

In the second half, the white quintet headed by Justin Castro and Malfry Rosario scored long and short distance baskets to be the offensive heroes of a tight game.

Justin Castro was the best scorer for the winners with 20 points and 10 assists followed by Brayan Terrero with 13, Malfry Rosario (the Guard) scored 10 and Johan Angeles with 6.

For the blue team, the most outstanding were Yandery Reyes with 14 points, Junier Brito with 10 and Joshua Corporan with 8.

After the meeting ended, teachers Onelfys Marte and Gustavo Rodríguez awarded medals to the champion team as well as to the most outstanding players of the successful sporting event.

Likewise, both teams enjoyed the succulent Pizzas from Beyby Restauran as well as national soft drinks whose entertainment was supported by the Wanda fishmonger and the Regional newspaper as prizes for the two finalist teams and the effort made throughout the event.

The fair was held with the objective of choosing the pre-selected U14 from the San Vicente club that will participate in the provincial tournament that will be organized by ABAPRODU at the end of June.
