After two home victories in a row, it looked like you could start an interesting streak, but a slap in the face came in Budějovice. You expected more from the master plan for the superstructure, you see?

It’s a shame, because we played well until Budějovice’s first goal. With the score 0:0, we scored a goal, but from offside, which was a big shame. Before Dynamo’s first goal, Čmeld went from the right side (Budejovice midfielder Lukáš Čmelík) through two of our players, we were not very assertive. The whole match was like that.

Budějovice went for it more, in fights and aggressiveness. This is a sad realization for me. Dynamo’s reserve line beat us: Čermák scored two goals and Čavoš scored the third. We were preparing for it and we also have quality midfielders who scored points for us several times, but it didn’t work out in Budějovice.

Didn’t it also work out because Dynamo had a great motivation to get from the worst six to a safe group for placement? You yourself acknowledged that after the first goal Budějovičí grew wings.

At 0:0 we were better and we knew what the opponent would play against us. But after the goal at the end of the first half, Budějovice grew and we couldn’t react to it. Even though we had enough chances, we only reduced the score to 1:3, which meant nothing. If it was still at 0:2, something could still be done with the match. It was late, Budějovice deservedly won.

In addition to the 1:3 goal, you got the ball into the net three more times, but twice it was offside and once an offensive foul. Bad luck?

Probably yes, but as I already mentioned: we were better until the first goal, our lack of emphasis decided. Away from home we always look good, but we get the first goal and it’s over. The Czech league is a long way from the first goal, but we are not able to score it out there. We need to change these things because now we play twice away. Next time in Teplice we have to play completely differently.

Aren’t you sad because you will only play two of the five games at home in the extension?

It is a fact that we have won four times at home in Pardubice: the fans help us and we are very strong. However, we struggle and lose outside, in the spring we only won in Boleslav. Game-wise it’s OK, but as I said: the opponent’s first goal comes and that’s it. It brings us down that we are not very aggressive in the limes.

The group for survival will be very balanced, eleventh Jablonec and sixteenth Zlín are separated by only nine points. How do you feel about your starting position and penultimate place?

We are two points ahead of Zlín and I have been saying from the beginning that the tie is a victory for us. Our plan is clear. We could have pulled through in Budějovice, but it didn’t happen and, on the contrary, Dynamo is out of it. He will absolutely play in the league next season, for which I congratulate him. But we will fight for our lives until the end. Thank God that we have now won twice at home, thanks to that we are not the last. We will fight and believe that we will stay in the league after the tie.
