Vieri: «If there were social networks when I played, I would earn more than Messi and Ronaldo» – Italy

Former goalscorer also commented on the possibilities of an Italian conquest in the Champions League

Christian Vieri was one of the speakers on the third and final day of Milan Football Week, a football event organized by the Italian newspaper ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’. In his speech, the former top scorer for clubs such as Inter, Atlético Madrid and Juventus said that he would be, nowadays, between Ronaldo and Messi… when it comes to making money.

“I’m nice, even one of the nicest players in Europe, if not the nicest. If there were social networks when I played, I would earn more than Messi and Ronaldo. I would make 300 or 400 million a year”, said the Italian who hung up his boots in 2009.

Vieri also commented on the possibility of an Italian winning the Champions League: “They can beat any team”, even considering his former emblem Inter as “the club in the best shape in Europe”.

Inter-Milan face each other this Tuesday in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals at 20:00 (in the 1st leg Inter won 2-0).
