French side Metropolitans 92 star Victor Vembanyama picked up five awards at the domestic league awards ceremony.
The talented basketball player was recognized as the most valuable player (MVP) of the championship, as well as the best young player, the best defender, the most productive player and the best blocker.
It should be noted that Vembanyama became the first French player since 2015 to be recognized as the MVP of the domestic championship – from 2016 to 2022, they were foreigners. Also, Vembanyama was included in the symbolic five of the tournament.
“Metropolitans 92” took second place in the main tournament of the French league and will meet seventh place winner “Cholet” in the first round of the “play-off”.
It has already been announced that the draft lottery took place yesterday in the National Basketball Association (NBA), in which the San Antonio Spurs won the first pick in this year’s draft. This means that this team is most likely to win Vembanyama.
