The center fielder climbed up behind a ball that was heading all the way over the barrier and actually managed to hide it in his glove. However, he was injured when he hit the advertising panel and the hero of the moment had to withdraw from the match.

“Unbelievable catch,” the game commentators cheered, but then, like the 35,000 spectators at the stadium in Houston, they were worried about Bellinger’s health.
The 2019 National League MVP sat on the ground for a long time, then struggled to his feet and limped away.
However, the 2020 World Series winner who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers did not return to the game.
“The doctor checked him and it shouldn’t be anything serious,” Cubs manager David Ross reassured after the game.
“We’ll see how he’s doing when he wakes up in the morning. He’s chilling right now. But all the tests the doctor did on him, the ligaments and all that stuff, seems fine,” Ross added.
Bellinger’s sacrifice ultimately came to naught anyway, as his team fell to the reigning World Series champions 4-6.
The Astros are in seventh place in the American League with a record of 22 wins, 19 losses, the Cubs with the exact opposite record are in tenth place in the National League.
