Two suspects arrested for gunshots in Molenbeek

The facts occurred on Saturday morning shortly before 7 a.m. when the local police of Brussels West (Jette, Ganshoren, Koekelberg, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe) were called for a man with a gunshot wound.

“The victim was taken to hospital but is now out of danger”, said the prosecution. “A medical examiner, a ballistics expert and the federal police laboratory descended on the scene. Two suspects were apprehended shortly after the incident. They were charged with attempted murder and placed under an arrest warrant by the investigating judge.

The investigation will have to determine the exact circumstances of the shots, further specified the prosecution.
