Triple Double by Colbey Ross

Penultimate round of the regular season which sees the change at the top: Milan passes to Tortona while Virtus falls to Treviso and the Milanese formation has temporarily overtaken. In the race for the playoffs there is still one place to be assigned and Pesaro and Brescia will play for it: at the moment Brescia is +2, but in the event of an equal finish on points, the Marches would qualify by virtue of a 2-0 win in direct matches.

There is also an open fight for third place: Sassari, winning with Reggio, has moved to 2pts from Tortona and in case of a level finish, the islanders would win the championship of the others. Venice, KO in Trento, the same Trentino and Brindisi are instead certain of a playoff place, even if not yet of placement.

In the red zone, the first verdict arrives with Verona falling to Trieste and being the first relegated. The last place will be played by Reggio Emilia, Naples, Scafati and Trieste itself. In short, we have one last turn of paper and pen to do the math!.

Top

Colbey Ross (Openjobmetis Varese) 93 PT: after the last not brilliant tests, he decided to crumble the Fanta LBA points record. Triple double space from 33pt (12/21 shooting with 3 blocks conceded), 10 rebounds and 13 assists. If there was still any doubt, with this test he not only closed the accounts for the MVP award, but he attracted the lights of half of Europe to himself.

Markel Brown (Openjobmetis Varese) 44.5 PT: with this score you are always the best of the round, but if you play with Ross the logic goes to hell. Also for him a very solid test from 24pt with 6/9 from the arc, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. It’s just a shame not to see the golden couple from Varese in the playoffs.

Andrea Cinciarini (UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia) 41 PT: as always the last to give up in the Reggio area. Unfortunately for him, he will have to suffer another week to try and save a team that seemed doomed a month ago. However a double-double with 13pt (5/8) and 13 assists, just to stay on topic. Captain’s heart.

Flop

Andre Jones (UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia) -2.5 PT: it’s not easy to make your league debut with just two games to go, especially in a team that is fighting to save itself. Unfortunately his contribution isn’t there and he closes with 0pt in 12 minutes with 0/3 from the field.

Leonardo Candi (Bertram Yachts Derthona Tortona) -2 PT: 0 points in 17′ his turnover in the defeat against Milan. All with 0/5 shooting, 3 fouls and 2 losses. True, there were three not bad in front of them, but Christon alone can’t work miracles.

Shavon Shields (EA7 Emporio Armani Milano) -1.4 PT: what a bad match that of the Dane. 4pt with 2/7 shooting, 5 rebounds but above all 5 losses. It’s not like him to be so bad at managing the ball, but luckily for him this counter-performance was mitigated by his teammates.
