Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady would like to become a partner of owner Mark Davis at the Las Vegas Raiders, because talks in this direction would be quite advanced.

According to ESPN on Friday, talks between the 45-year-old and the club began several weeks ago and a resolution could occur soon according to some sources. However, they specified that Brady’s participation would be considered “passive”: consequently, he would not have control over the operations of the club, either financially or on the sporting side.

Last March, the ex-No. 12 confirmed the purchase of minority shares of the Las Vegas Aces, a WNBA women’s basketball team that is also under Davis’s umbrella. Furthermore, if the two men come to an agreement, 24 owners of NFL franchises will have to approve the transaction, as stipulated by the rules of the Goodell circuit.
