The goalkeeper for tomorrow’s match against Slovenia has been named

Artūrs Šilovs will guard the goal of the Latvian hockey team in tomorrow’s world championship match against Slovenia, reports Ulvis Brože.

This will be the 21-year-old goalkeeper’s fifth game in the tournament and fourth in a row in the starting line-up. Shilov was also in goal in the matches against Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Norway, while against Canada he went on the field in the sixth minute, replacing Ivar Punnenov.

In this tournament, Shilov stopped 89.9% of the shots and allowed 2.52 innings on average.

The game against Slovenia is scheduled for tomorrow, May 19 at 16:20.
