The CDE Yamatotakeru, from Talavera, is full in the Spanish Judo Championship

Last weekend the talaverana judokas Aiora Martín Carriches, Gala Villegas Santos and Aroa Vizcaíno Hernanz they managed to bring to Talavera de la Reina two silvers and one bronze in the Spanish Championship for Cadet and Infant school age.

The athletes of the Yamatotakeru Judo School, Aiora Martin Carriches (student of the IES Ribera del Tajo), Gala Villegas Santos y Aroa Vizcaíno Hernanz (both students at the IES Puerta de Cuartos), they held a good championship in which they competed against the best judokas from all the Autonomous Communities of Spain participating in the 2023 Cadet and Children’s Championship of Spain held in Madrid at the Gallur Municipal Sports Center. Getting bronze for Aiora Martín in the cadet category and silver for Aroa Vizcaíno and Gala Villegas in the children’s category.

Jose Luis Martin Artworkone of her coaches and director of CDE YAMATOTAKERU, comments that “nerves and some highly controversial arbitration decision have deprived our girls of reaching gold.”

He also points out that “we want to congratulate them for these three medals and above all for the work they have done throughout the season together with all their schoolmates”. And it is that the season has been full of triumphs at state and European level.
