I’ve spoken a lot with Trae Young since qualifying and he came to see us play in LA. He’s jealous because I’m going to the Finals and he’s not, he only made Conference Finals. Brandon Roy, my coach in high school, also wrote to me and criticized absolutely everything I did, I think he’s jealous too. But he always gave me good advice and saw my game evolve.

Obviously, MPJ speaks with humor in view of the affection he has for the two men. We can easily imagine that Ice Trae and B-Roy are proud of what their friend has accomplished and that they will be behind him for the Finals.
