Adrian Knup puts his work at the Swiss Football League (SFL) at the end of September after six years.

The 54-year-old from Basel arrived in September 2017 as Chief Sports Officer zur SFL and in this newly created position was the link to the sporting management of the clubs, but also to the Swiss Football Association (SFV) and there in particular to the youth development department and the referee department.

In addition, Knup has held this since 2019 Office of the sporting director of the U21 national team. In June, he will lead the Swiss delegation to Georgia and Romania for the second consecutive finals.

Die Dallas Stars win in the fourth game in the Best-of-7 semi-final series against the Vegas Golden Knights for the first time and shorten to 1:3.

The Texans sat down in the home arena 3:2 after extra time through. Before that, they had made up a deficit twice. The 38-year-old was the match winner for the stars alongside double goalscorer Jason Robertson Joe Pavelski. He scored in the fourth minute of overtime, his ninth goal of this year’s playoffs.

Manchester United has qualified for the Champions League. The “Red Devils” beat Chelsea 4-1 in a supplementary game. Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored the goals while João Felix scored the consolation goal for Chelsea in the 89th minute.

In the table, ManUtd edged out Newcastle United with a round to go Platz 3, but Newcastle will also play in the premier class next season. The immensely disappointing Chelsea are only 12th. (ram)

Ended at age 34 Shkelzen Gashi, 2014 and 2015 top scorer in the highest Swiss league, his active career. FC Aarau announced his resignation of the striker at the end of the season.

Gashi had his best phase with GC and Basel. In 2013 he won the Cup (GC), in 2015 he became Swiss Champion (Basel). After three years in the American MLS, the dual citizen, who has played 16 international matches for Albania, returned to Switzerland in 2020 and from then on played for Aarau. (ram/sda)
